SAN DIEGO—With highly respected and active brokerage professionals in San Diego, the market was a natural fit and addition to SRS Real Estate Partners' expansion, Matthew Mousavi and Garrett Colburn, leadership at the firm, tell GlobeSt.com. The company recently opened its San Diego office, adding three new brokers.

Joining the San Diego team as part of the National Net Lease Group are Sam Hanna as SVP and Bryan Raphaelson as associate, who will provide advisory services for investors of single-tenant and net-lease properties in San Diego and across the US. Michael Lagazo joins the San Diego office VP, providing tenant and landlord services as a part of SRS's Southern California team. The San Diego office will provide SRS's clients expanded coverage along the West Coast and marks the 21st SRS office in the U.S. We spoke with Mousavi and Colburn, along with Patrick Luther and Terrison Quinn—leaders in the firm's Newport Beach and San Diego offices—about the new office and the firm's goals for it.

GlobeSt.com: Why is now the right time for the opening of this San Diego office?

SRS: Our growth is driven around finding the right people and growing the platform around those individuals. San Diego is a well-established, high-barrier-to-entry real estate market. With the growth and momentum of the NNLG and Investment Properties Group, as well as the long-standing tenant-representation and leasing platform, we've been able to attract highly regarded, active professionals. All of the investment professionals of NNLG and IPG work within one national platform with shared marketing efforts and resources. The San Diego office will integrate well within the overall national team and will be part of this singular team.

GlobeSt.com: What makes San Diego the right market for this office?

SRS: Southern California is a center for capital, and as such, an established market like San Diego was an ideal fit for our already strong presence in Orange and Los Angeles counties. There are also highly respected and active brokerage professionals in San Diego. For us, it was a natural fit and addition to our expansion.

GlobeSt.com: What are the goals of this office?

SRS: The San Diego office will work with the Newport Beach tenant-representation and leasing teams, National Net Lease Group and Investment Properties Group to expand our coverage and market share in Southern California as well as our national footprint with the singular goal of providing more value for our clients.

GlobeSt.com: What else should our readers know about the team in this office?

SRS: The San Diego office features brokers with diverse backgrounds and complimentary skill sets and will provide a strong foundation for continued growth in that market. Sam Hanna has more than 12 years of experience as a tenured broker. Sam transacts nationally and has a stellar reputation. Not only is he well regarded by his clients, but he also shares our values of being open and collaborative, as do Michael Lagazo and Bryan Raphaelson. With the national presence of SRS, established offices in all major markets and more than 30 years of history and track record, our San Diego-based brokers will have all of the firm's resources available to assist them in growing their business and servicing their clients. Additionally, our National Net Lease Group continues to expand actively into other major markets on the West and East coasts, with finding the right brokers who share our values as the driver of that growth.
