Kristina Leighty

WASHINGTON, DC–Colliers International has recruited, or rather re-recruited, Kristina Leighty to lead its Project Management group of the Corporate Solutions, Government Solutions and Brokerage teams in the Greater Washington, DC region.

Leighty was a project manager for both the real estate management services group and brokerage group for four years at Colliers before she accepted an offer from CRESA to become vice president of project management. She was at CRESA for close to a year when, as a source described it, Colliers made Leighty “an offer she couldn't refuse” to return.

She was personally recruited (or re-recruited) by David Parker, who joined the company from PMRG in February to be its regional managing director.

“In past year since I had been gone Colliers launched an initiative to expand the project management service line that by building a dedicated team for the brokerages community,” Leighty told GlobeSt.com. “That was the role they had in mind for me — leading the project management brokerage team.”

Leighty was also a senior project manager at architecture and interior design firm INTEC Group, project manager at InterSpec Design and as an interior designer at Peck Peck & Associates and Kumin Associates.

As part of Colliers' doubling down on its project management group Parker also recruited Nicholas Hunter, who just joined Colliers' Washington, DC, office as an Assistant Vice President specializing in tenant and landlord representation.

There will be more announcements of hiring coming shortly, the source tells us.
