CARY, NC-Kimco Realty, which already owns two retail buildings at the complex, is looking to acquire the Crossroads Plaza shopping center here.
The 675,000-square-foot shopping center owned by Ronus Properties, is on the market for sale. Kimco, which is headquartered in New Hyde Park, NY, owns buildings occupied by Dick's Sporting Good and Bath & Beyond at the property located at the intersection of I-440 and U.S. 1, according to the Triangle Business Journal. The firm also owns another 11 shopping center properties in the Triangle area.
Paul Puma, president of Kimco's southern region, confirms that Kimco is in talks to acquire Crossroads Plaza. “We think it will be a nice portfolio to have in the heart of Cary,” Puma says. Kimco would assume a $70-million bank loan on the property if a deal is finalized. See story in the Triangle Business Journal.
