CHICAGO—Related Midwest officials say that new tenants have now leased 50% of the apartments in OneEleven at 111 W. Wacker Dr. The company started pre-leasing in April and tenants began moving into the new 60-story luxury apartment tower in early July.

Located at Clark St. and Wacker Dr. on the edge of the city's central business district, OneEleven features 504 apartments, and also has 30,000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor amenities.

“As OneEleven's swift leasing pace indicates, Chicago renters have a strong desire to live in the Loop, which has emerged as one of the nation's fastest-growing urban cores,” said Curt Bailey, president of Related Midwest. “By partnering with two of the country's preeminent stars in architecture and design, we were able to deliver an eye-catching building that has been well-received by those looking for upscale rentals in the heart of the city.”

The building was designed by New York-based Handel Architects, with interiors by Kara Mann, and marks Related's second rental offering in downtown Chicago, following last year's opening of 500 Lake Shore Dr., a 500-unit tower in Streeterville now fully leased.

“We have seen continued demand for high-end apartments in the city's best locations,” added Bailey. “Just like 500 Lake Shore Dr., which was built on one of the last remaining parcels along North Lake Shore Dr., OneEleven has filled a void along Chicago's riverfront, transforming the closely watched site into a five-star residential tower where residents can experience downtown Chicago like never before.”

Apartments at OneEleven include studios, convertibles, and one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, including penthouses. OneEleven also offers Club OneEleven, located on the 28th and 29th floors of the building. It includes several lounge areas with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer sweeping views of downtown Chicago, billiards and screening rooms, a tech bar, men's and women's locker rooms, and a private fitness center overlooking the Chicago River.

“Residents began moving into OneEleven during the peak of summer and have spent much of the season enjoying all of the outdoor spaces the building has to offer,” said Bailey. “The bi-level sun deck has been especially popular, and residents have been proud to show it off to family and friends – almost as proud as us.”
