NEW YORK CITY—The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has signed a long-term lease renewal for 34,000 square feet of space at 469 Seventh Ave.

Colliers International, which represented the building owner in the transaction, reports the MTA will continue to lease the entire 11th and 14th floors at the 267,000-square-foot office building.

“The MTA renewal brings us closer to full occupancy, which we anticipate in the next six to 12 months,” says Eric Meyer, a principal with Colliers International Tri-State, who along with Principal Marty Meyer, arranged the lease on behalf of the building ownership— Eric and Marty Meyer, and Dan Shavolian of Foremost Real Estate. He adds that Colliers is in talks with several potential tenants about the building's tower floors, including catering facilities and event management companies that have expressed a strong interest in the penthouse and roof deck.”

Jodi Roberts and Josh Kuriloff of Cushman and Wakefield represented the MTA in the renewal deal.

Additional tenants in the building include small accounting firms, advertising agencies, and administrative offices and meeting rooms for the New York City Police Department's Manhattan South Traffic Enforcement division.
