KPMG Plaza

DALLAS—Teknion Corporation will be relocating its DFW office and showroom to KPMG Plaza at HALL Arts, the 18-story 500,000-square-foot office tower in the Dallas Arts District, HALL Group says. It will be moving into the building as the sixth tenant, leasing 8,000 square feet on the 16th floor, with the existing infrastructure complementing its design plans.

Vanderbyl Design is the lead designer and TVSdesign will assist in the execution of the space. Teknion is the furniture designer for Hall Group's office space at HALL Arts.

“Our relationship with Teknion began when they furnished our office space at KPMG Plaza last fall, and we're thrilled to have them now join us at the building,” said Craig Hall, founder and chairman of HALL Group. “They are on the forefront of designing what the future of office space will look like, which is something that we strive to be developing as well, so there is a great common interest between our two companies.”

Beyond a commercial transaction, as Hall says, Teknion's decision to move to HALL Arts represents the evolving direction of its showroom concept and design, which reflects the vision for the future of the workplace. Teknion's new space will be a tangible example of the new direction of workplace furniture and accommodate the needs of an emerging generation of workers. And, this move places Teknion in the center of the iconic Dallas Arts District and in proximity to its clientele.

“As our building continues to fill up, and new restaurants like Flora Street Café open in the Arts District, we're feeling a new energy and vibrancy in the neighborhood. More people are walking between Klyde Warren Park and Flora Street, and we're seeing increased activity throughout the area, which is what the Arts District has needed,” Kim Butler, director of leasing at HALL Group, tells GlobeSt.com. “Teknion's move to the Arts District will add to this activity as clients come to visit their new showroom, and we're so pleased that they've decided to join us.”

The company will be pursuing LEED platinum certification and WELL Building Standard certification for the new space.

“KPMG Plaza represents many of the values that are important to our brand, including sustainability, possibility and innovation. Combined with the location in the iconic Dallas Arts District, the building will help us set Teknion apart from our competition, while creating an inspiring and influential destination for our clientele,” said Paul Rosowski, regional vice president of Teknion. “HALL Arts is all about creating a modern, state-of-the-art work environment, so we feel that there is a certain synergy with the space and the direction in which our brand is going.”
