FRISCO, TX—The 175-acre Wade Park, along the Dallas North Tollway, is a major part of the ambitious $5 Billion Mile economic development program, totaling some 550 acres of office, retail, residential and hospitality development, all of which is expected to generate more than 70,000 new jobs in the next few years, GlobeSt.com learns. The Wade Park development encompasses $2 billion of the $5 billion in total developments. Frisco Station, The Gate and The Star, the Cowboys headquarters, account for the remaining $5 billion-plus in investments.
Financing to the tune of $82.75 million has been secured for development of the Wade Park mixed-use project. Groundbreaking was in late 2014 and phase one opened in the spring of 2016. The financing was provided by Gamma Real Estate.
“Gamma is very proud to play a role in one of the most significant development projects in the nation,” says Jonathan Kalikow, president of Gamma Real Estate. “Frisco is one of the country's fastest growing cities, averaging nearly 6% population growth annually in recent years. Wade Park will be a timely boon for this important bedroom community serving Dallas and Fort Worth.”
