The firm plans to develop about 36 new facilities worth $225 million over the next three years. The company now has 11 sites under contract and recently began building these properties in the New York-to-Pennsylvania corridor and selected Florida markets. United also plans to expand its development and management activities in Chicago as well as Detroit, Baltimore and Washington, DC.
