Nacore, IDRC Approaching Merger Accord

Two old-line corporate real estate organizations are coming down to the wire on a merger proposal.

WEST PALM BEACH—Members of the National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives and the International Development Research Council are scheduled to vote in October on a long-discussed merger plan. The new single association could be in business by Jan. 1, 2001. Each group has about 3,600 members and 43 chapters in the United States and abroad. NACORE, founded in 1969, has its international headquarters in West Palm Beach. IDRC, launched in 1961, is based in Atlanta.
