Collins Enterprises of Greenwich, CT and the Trump Organization of New York City are said to be finalists in the bidding for what could be Westchester County's largest redevelopment venture in years. The site totals approximately 100 acres just north of the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Marcia McGee, a spokeswoman for GM's worldwide facilities group, confirmed that two developers remain in the running. After one is selected, the project will proceed as a joint venture or LLC-structure deal.

Village officials have expressed interest in residential construction, specifically seniors housing, along with waterfront-related uses. They would also like the company to create public access to the Hudson River. After demolishing the plant, which closed in 1996, GM performed site remediation work.
