Tenants No Problem for Trendy Las Colinas

66,000 sf of retail leases have been inked in recent weeks.

IRVING, TX—A new 130,000-sf retail complex in toney Las Colinas is nearly half leased as the sounds of construction continue in this upscale community where tourists come in droves to tour a movie studio lot that’s home for such favorites as “Walker, Texas Ranger.”

Trademark Cos. has leased 66,000 sf to Staples, which opened in late July; Starbucks Coffee, which will open in early August; and Champps, a sports-theme restaurant, that will open later in the month. Meanwhile, construction at the Texas 114 and MacArthur Blvd. is under way for Thomas Kincade Galleries, Pappagallo and the Canonita, a concept eatery of the TGIF Restaurant Group.
