Up-and-Coming D.C. Neighborhood Gains New Tenant

Contractor takes 42,000 sf at 80 M St. SE

Washington DC–Government contractor Technology Management & Analysis Corp. has leased 42,500 sf on the top floor at Navy Yard Metro Center at 80 M St. SE here. The 273,000-sf, seven-story building, now under construction, is expected to be completed October 2001.

TMA, which provides a range of systems engineering, logistics, project management and information technology services, is one of several government contractors moving into the nation’s capital. They’re following the Naval Sea Systems Command, which is crossing the Potomac from Arlington to the Navy Yard and one of Washington’s most undeveloped neighborhoods. Between Navsea and contractors, about 10,000 workers are expected to move into the area through next year.
