However, the trucking company also owns the Leland James Center, a Portland office complex it built in the late 1980s (and named after its founder) at 1621 NW 21St. Ave. It has 342,662 sf of space and is valued at $22 million, according to the Multnomah County assessor's office.

The company has yet to reveal the price it is asking for its Menlo Park headquarters. The 3.3-acre property holds a 38,000-sf building and is valued at $3.7 million, according to the San Mateo County assessor's office.

Leland James formed Consolidated Truck Lines in Portland in 1929. The company went public in 1951 and moved to Menlo Park in 1956 to be closer to the West Coast's financial center.
