A development company has secured about 30% of the balance of Sugar Land’s available space for commercial and industrial ventures.The deal calls for Pelec Development to retrofit a former 223,000-sf manufacturing building and 23.2 acres at 700 Reed Road; and leasing 106,000 sf to Pro-fit Piping Components Inc. Pelec also purchased an adjacent 136.47 acres that has been ticketed for future industrial development.
The tenant plans to relocate its Houston operation, which employs 18 to 20 people, to the Sugar Land site. Cushman & Wakefield Inc. represented Pro-fit with the leasing arrangement.
