Janus Capital Corp. plans to construct a new office campus on a 35-acre tract in Lowry Business Park, with projections of spending up to $150 million in a seven-year development plan.

Plans call for a campus ranging from 800,000 sf to 1.2 million sf. The first structure, expected to be on line in 18 to 24 months, will total 120,000 sf and be designed to house 300 to 400 employees. The campus will be built in three phases, with a minimum of 540,000 sf ready to occupy by 2004. The final building is to be constructed in mid-2007. The campus will eventually house about 1,800 workers of its investor service and operations units.
