New-Economy Company Takes Up Residence in Old-Economy Building

ATLANTA--CarrierPoint Inc. signs five-year, 26,000-sf lease with an estimated value of $2 million. An e-commerce company.

CarrierPoint Inc., a relatively new e-commerce company that operates an online marketplace for the trucking industry, is moving its 90 headquarters employees into a 1940s building in the high-tech Georgia Tech area. The five-year, 26,000-sf lease at the Siemens-Westinghouse building on Northside Drive intown has an estimated value of $2 million. Rates in the immediate are in the $15-to-18-per-sf range. The two-story Siemens-Westinghouse property is near the main entrance of the 140-acre Atlantic Steel redevelopment, a mixed-use intown community.
