M&G executive vice president Kevin C. Phelan says the loan was obtained through the firm's correspondent, Aegon USA. Part of the larger Cambridge Center mixed-use complex, the building is owned by Boston Properties.
In the Boston deal, M&G arranged $14.5 million for One Bulfinch Place, a nine-story, 85,000-sf structure located near the city's Government Center District. The property was developed in 1998 by the Intercontinental Cos. of Brighton, which restored an existing building and added three floors. Prudential Mortgage Corp. provided the financing.
