Wheeler told GlobeSt.com that the new 55,000-sf building will feature a bar on the first floor, meeting and party rooms on the second floor, and a restaurant on the third. Offices will be leased out on the fourth floor, the fifth floor will feature a 500-seat banquet hall, which will use the roof as an open deck. The development will cost about $5 million, Wheeler says, and take about a year to complete.

"WeÕre really excited. The engineers are going to get started as soon as possible," he notes. Wheeler co-owns four Post bars, two in Detroit, one in Ferndale, MI, and one in Mt. Clemens, MI. The new development, going up on Woodward and Elizabeth, will be called Post on Broadway. "IÕve been trying to put a deal together down there for three years," Wheeler says.
