Tool Company Acquires Site to Expand

Harbor Tool Manufacturing Inc. will build a 85,900 sf structure on a 5.86-acre site within Tinley Crossings Corporate Center, 8300 W. 185th St., Tinley Park, IL, a southwest suburb of Chicago. Groundbreaking is planned for August, with completion targeted for December. Principle Construction Corp. is the design/build firm. Arete 3 is providing architectural services.About 78,700 sf will be devoted to manufacturing and warehouse, with 7,200 sf for office space. Other building features include 24-foot clear height, concrete slab floor, three exterior docks, one drive-in door, a 10-ton create bay, 3000-amp electric and a waste metal collection facility.Founded in 1960 by the Stratta brothers, John Sr. and Peter, the provides CNC machining services in addition to stamping, assembly and fabrication for the transportation and welded tubing industry. With two branches in Chicago as well as one in south suburban Posen, IL, Harbor will consolidate and relocate operations to Tinley Park.
