Lowe's purchased the 12 acres of land where the store is being built in January. It will be located on the southwest corner of 15th Street Northeast and D Street Northeast.
The Auburn store will be the 14th Lowe's store in Western Washington and the 19th statewide. The Wilkesboro, N.C.-based company purchased the Renton, Wash.-based Eagle Hardware & Garden chain last year and is now converting Eagle stores to Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouses.
