By enlarging the existing 44,500-sf facility, company officials are making room for more equipment, as well as personnel. The 28,500-sf addition is projected to cost approximately $1.5 million, Richard Collins, vice president of administration, told GlobeSt.com.
Construction, which began last summer, was delayed due to design changes made by W + D Machinery, and the firm had to wait for city code approval for the alterations. Vineyard Construction Co. Inc. worked with the architectural firm of George Butler Associates.
