McCurry Properties is off to an auspicious leasing start with the ground-breaking of its $14 million, 125,000-sf mixed-use development on South Boulevard between Magnolia and McDonald Avenues. Wide Tide Pacific Grill is taking 4,000 sf. Luna, a women’s clothing boutique, will occupy 3,600 sf.

The project will have about 50,000 sf of office atop shops and restaurants in two four-story buildings. Retail will total 28,000 sf; residential, 47,000 sf. McMurry is also renovating an 8,000-sf, early 1940s industrial building facing South Boulevard. The developer plans to erect three additional buildings and a three-level parking deck in the project’s first phase.
