The complex is near Interstate 17 and Cactus Road. Though San Francisco-based Wells Fargo wouldn't disclose lease terms, it says the new employees will work on the building's second floor.

About 200 people will be needed to run the new Home Equity Internet Services operations center, which the bank says will open in December. Roughly 125 people will relocate to the new complex from another Wells Fargo office in the Arizona Business Park in northwest Phoenix.

The new jobs will more than offset the several dozen workers who were recently let go by Phoenix-based building giant Del Webb Corp. The company, which pioneered the concept of building huge developments for so-called active adults, says the layoffs were needed because it doesn't expect to accept orders for homes at any of its large communities for the rest of this year.
