Margulies & Associates of Boston will design the facility. Project architect Colin Smith says the new interior will mirror the company's open, high-tech philosophy with a "dynamic, collaborative environment." Workstations will be flexible and visible from the broadcast studio, while glass-enclosed conference rooms will be angled throughout the building to provide quiet space.

Another feature will be the 2,600-sf Network Operations Center, whose glass façade will allow visitors to view the NOC upon entering the reception area. There will also be a state-of-the-art executive briefing center and bistro-style dining room.

Gomez.com is an e-business portal that helps consumers navigate the Internet by evaluating various sites. Opened in 1955, Hobbs Brook features more than one million sf in eight buildings. It is owned by the Middlesex Mutual Business Trust.
