On a fast track, Asheboro developer Jeff Schwartz is rushing to erect a $3 million, six-building complex in High Point by yearend so that he can offer the new space to nearby printing, electronics, furniture, foam and fabric manufacturing companies. The site is along Springfield Road off Baker Road, just east of Charlotte.

Rents will be about $2.75 psf, a competitive range compared with a $3.95 average level in North High Point, a hotbed of industrial and residential growth. Schwartz has had no preleasing activity to date. Each of the six buildings will offer 20,000 sf.
