The project, scheduled for completion by year's end, will be located in a business park called the West Little York Distribution Center near Beltway 8 and Brittmore Road. Houston's northwest has been a hotbed of industrial construction activity in recent years.
The new building marks the second phase of Panattoni's effort in the West Little York Distribution Center. A 150,000-sf structure was built last year under spec by the Sacramento, CA-based Panattoni. It was recently leased in its entirety to Fullarton Computer Industries, a technology manufacturing company based in Scotland. Fullarton's computer plant will be operational in first quarter 2001, adding 300 new jobs to the Houston economy.
Boyd, Page & Associates represented Panattoni in the leasing transaction. CB Richard Ellis represented Fullarton. At the end of the first quarter, Houston's industrial market had a 93% occupancy rate.
