Residential Web Site Reorganizes and Expands

NEW YORK CITY-In the fall, EdificeRex will add a commercial portal and upgrade its residential one. The site is also being upgraded for broadband Internet access.

EdificeRex, an on-line site that services the residents of the co-ops and condos managed by Insignia/ESG, is being reorganized. A spokesman for the company says that “Were in an expansion mode. We’ll be introducing version 2.0 of the residential portal in the fall along with a new commercial portal.” The site is also being upgraded now to provide wireless broadband Internet access.

Rather than continuing to create material for the site in-house, the company is establishing a partnership with an outside content provider, the source tells GlobeSt.com. Because of that change, some staff members have left but others are being hired. Twenty-four employees are being added to the 50 already on board, he says. In addition, EdificeRex will move from temporary space at Insignia’s offices at 200 Park Ave. into 12,300 sf leased at 300 E. 42nd St.
