Albertsons Opens Doors on 61,000-sf Store, Closes Neighboring One

AUSTIN-It's in with the new and out with the old as Albertsons opens a 61,000-sf store on a neighboring site to an older model. The latest shopping model includes a Starbucks and full-service pharmacy.

Accelerating a grocery store expansion in Austin, Albertsons has opened a full-service retail food and drug store at Anderson Mill Rd. and Texas 183.

The new 61,000-sf facility replaces an outdated store, which is now closed, situated across the street at 13530 N. Highway 183. The new expanded grocery store features a Starbucks Coffee, full-service pharmacy and beefed up inventory. The new round-the-clock operation is one of nearly a dozen expanded Albertsons serving Austin. Albertsons first opened in this region in 1989.
