The parcel stands at 1500 N. Lemon St., a little north of the Riverside (91) Freeway. Construction should start in about two months, says John A. Manavian, director of development for LA-based Pacific Theaters.

Lowe's Home Improvement, the big do-it-yourself chain, has already agreed to take about half the project for a new store. Pacific Theaters also plans to build two full-service restaurants, three drive-through restaurants and some office space on the site.

The Lowe's will include a 25,000-sf garden center and should open next spring, Manavian says.
