Castro Convertibles Replaces Its 50-Year Old Showroom

YONKERS-The California-based furniture company's new outlet on the Central Ave. retail strip is more than four times as large as the old one.

Krause’s Furniture Inc. has opened a new 11,000 sf showroom under the company’s well-known Castro Convertibles banner. It replaces a 2,500 sf store nearby at 2475 Central Park Ave. that had been in the same location for almost 50 years, company officials report. The new facility is located in the Central Plaza Shopping Center at 2642 Central Park Ave., and is one of 12 Castro outlets in the New York metropolitan area.

The Yonkers showroom features custom-crafted upholstered furniture as well as complementary products such as occasional tables and chairs, area rugs, lamps and fashion accessories.
