The new additions include everything from J.Crew andtheir store for kids,Crew Cuts, Swarowski, Bose, Aveda, Hugo Boss, Coach,Toys International and even a flower shop, Stems &Vines. Mall of America will add a multi-level Gapflagship store that will feature more than 20,000sf of men's and women's fashions and anotherstore with more than 12,000 sf in kids and babyclothes.

Besides new offerings this fall, other newretailers andattractions that have opened during the past yearinclude: Jillian's Hi LifeLanes; Sarno's Gelato; Torpedo Joe's; Zutopia; Zumiez;b.b.s.p; Rand McNally;J.Jill; Syncrony; Baby Place and QVC.In 1999, Mall of America continues to generate anestimated economicimpact of more than $1.5 billion for the state ofMinnesota, including nearly$1.2 billion in new money from non-Minnesotaresidents. Actual sales in 1999exceeded the Mall's forecast of $850 million, climbing6% from 1998sales of $808 million.

Mall officials say that the Simon Propeties-owned propertyattracts more visitors annually than Disney World, theGrand Canyon and Graceland combined. Since opening inAugust 1992, more than 310 million people have visitedMall of America, which continues to attract more than40 million people per year. In addition to more than520 stores, the Mall is home to the nation's largestindoor theme park, a 12-lane bowling club, a 14-screenmovie theater and a1.2 million-gallon walk-through aquarium.
