Project manager Peter Carbone III says the firm is encouraged by commercial activity in the market south of Boston, although Meredith & Grew places the vacancy rate for that sector at 10%. One of the only suburban submarkets with double-digit vacancies, Carbone says he believes the project is poised to do well nonetheless. "We are confident that this location, with its high visibility, easy accessibility and site amenities will make it a highly successful landmark addition to the Route 128 office market," he says. The firm has hired Trammell Crow as exclusive leasing agent for the project.
According to Carbone, the dominant feature of the center will be a glass-enclosed, three-story structure that will connect the two buildings. Spagnolo/Gisness & Associates is architect for the development.
