MD Helicopters Inc., a subsidiary of RDM Holding, purchased five buildings it occupies at Mesa's Falcon Field. The sale price was not disclosed. Boeing Co., which sold MD Helicopters its light helicopter business last year, was the seller of the buildings.
MD Helicopters plans to start construction on the new warehouse this month, with occupancy planned for October. The company, which employs 300 people, builds police and air ambulance choppers that range in price from $820,000 to more than $3 million.
