Crown Center Redevelopment Corp. has scheduled construction to begin early in 2001 on a 600,000-sf,24-story office building at 2555 Grand Blvd. in Crown Center at 26th St. It will be the largest building in the Crown Center complex.

Shook, Hardy & Bacon, Kansas City’s largest law firm, is penciled in as the office tower’s anchor tenant, occupying 410,000 sf (16 floors)in the building. The law firm has more than 1,000 employees and currently has offices inthree downtown buildings. In April, the law firm announced that it would move from One Kansas CityPlace when its lease expires in February 2004.
