Phoenix-Opus West has broken ground on the first class A office project to go up in an area of Mesa in more than a decade.
Opus West, the Valley’s most active office developer, has begun building the Mesa Corporate Center. It’s a 105,000-sf class A complex near Fiesta Mall in the suburb of Mesa. The two-story office building is at the southeast corner of Alma School Road and Southern Avenue.
Little office development occurred in Mesa during the 1990s. The suburb is mostly a bedroom community with some industrial buildings. The last office tower to be erected in the Fiesta Mall area was built in the late 1980s.
