Steakhouse Planned at Upscale Condo Building

CHICAGO - A steakhouse concept popular in Manhattan is coming to the Second City.

Chart House Enterprises Inc.is bringing its concept restaurant, Angelo and Maxie’s Steakhouse, to itsheadquarters city with a location in Chicago’s River North area. The companyhas signed a lease in the Farallon condominium complex, currently beingbuilt at 600 N. Dearborn Street at the corner of Ohio Street. Therestaurant is scheduled to open in fall 2001, continuing its nationwideexpansion.

Angelo and Maxie’s first opened in 1996 in theFlatiron District of Manhattan. Boasting an extensive steakhouse menuand art deco decor, meals at the restaurant run $40 to $45 per person, a sum that appeals to a broaderdemographic group in gender than traditional steakhouse concepts.
