The death of one of the developers caused software giant Compuware to change its scheduled start of construction of a1 million-sf office headquarters in Detroit. Bob Sosnick, president of Real Estate Development and Investment Co. (REDICO), passed away in March. The company had joined with Peter Cummings and Associates and the Chicago-based U.S. Equities Realty real estate and construction company as developers of the project.
Denise Knobblock, Compuware’s executive vice president of human resources-administration, says the company had to reschedule its July 1 start date to Sept. 15.She also told GlobeSt.com that the building interior had to be changed after a second look at the planned occupancy. The $550 million, 16-story headquarters is going up in the redesigned Campus Martius complex in downtown Detroit.
