The center is on 11 acres off Highway 198 at Tulare and Acre Roads in the Tulare County city of Visalia. It's designed to house up to 1,100 employees and parking for an equivalent number of vehicles, says project manager Greg Holcomb. The center was developed by Dorn-Platz Co.
Designed by Ware & Malcomb Architects, Irvine, the call center was constructed using tilt-up concrete panels, Holcomb says. The building has two different trunk lines, fed from different parts of California, so that the communications system will always have a reliable backup.
