Neither party would divulge the contracted price until the deal is formally recorded in county tax offices. But brokers familiar with the transaction confirm similar past transactions have carried a price tag of $2 million to $5 million per station.
The stations are being renamed either as BP or Amoco outlets to avoid overlapping properties in the same neighborhood. The assets are in metro Orlando and neighboring Seminole County.
Shell is still a player in Central Florida, however. The compay has about about 30 stations in nearby Lake, Osceola and Volusia Counties.
