Two more big box stores are scheduled to open this year, as well as tworetail stores on pad sites and a couple of restaurants, one of whichwill be a Longhorn Steakhouse.Construction began last year. Phase one is complete and the second andfinal phase is expected to be finished next year.
"This is a regional draw site," says David Block, senior vice president with Block &Company Inc. Realtors. "And the demos show thatit is one of the fastest growing areas in Kansas City."The land was previously owned by the Peterson Co., which receivedtax abatements and TIF money to help finance the project.
