Located on 3.2 acres immediately east of the existing RadiSys campus between NE Dawson Creek Drive and NE Shute Road, the new 22,700-sf building will house the company's growing requirements for manufacturing space. RadiSys now has three buildings on its Hillsboro campus. Expansion into the new facility will begin in the final quarter of this year.
Prior to the acquisition, Radisys' campus was 17.2 acres, with 7.9 acres available for development, according to a company source. The additional adjacent land, when combined with RadiSys' existing land - where development has yet to take place - will allow the company to increase its Hillsboro campus from the present three buildings to six buildings in the future.
Glen Myers, CEO of RadiSys, says the purchases are in response to rapid growth in Internet and other communications services that is creating huge demand for the networking and telecommunications equipment building blocks RadiSys makes.
