EMC to Lease 250,000 SF of Office Space

WESTBOROUGH, MA-Nine Tech Drive will be fully occupied by the booming high-tech company, further tightening the MetroWest office market.

One of the state’s largest employers has continued its dramatic growth pattern in the MetroWest market, with EMC Corp. signing a 250,000-sf lease at 9 Tech Dr. The nine-year-old, two-story building is located in the Westborough Technology Park.

Billed as the world leader in information storage, Hopkinton-based EMC Corp. reported last month that total storage revenues for the second quarter of 2000 grew 43%, marking the first time the company has exceeded $2 billion for any quarter. The firm, which has a major presence in Westborough and Franklin, had net income of $429 million, up 50% over the same period in 1999.
