Billed as the world leader in information storage, Hopkinton-based EMC Corp. reported last month that total storage revenues for the second quarter of 2000 grew 43%, marking the first time the company has exceeded $2 billion for any quarter. The firm, which has a major presence in Westborough and Franklin, had net income of $429 million, up 50% over the same period in 1999.

Nine Tech Drive is the newest and largest of the four buildings at Westborough Technology Park, which is owned by the RREEF Funds. According to Trammell Crow principal Joseph P. Fallon, who represented RREEF with colleague Michael R. Frisoli, the main attractions of the 17-acre park include ample parking, a location near Routes 128 and Interstate 495 and substantial retail, restaurants and day care options in the area.
