"iProperty's Chorus is the type of application brokers have been looking for," says Mark Woodroof, chairman of HAR's for-profit subsidiary, e-HAR. "iProperty will help my firm offer a higher level of service to my customers and we will make more money in the process" He says HAR, the nation's largest local association, investigated several transaction management systems before signing with Chorus. HAR maintains the largest individual membership trade group in Houston. Its professionals represent every facet of the commercial and residential components of the industry, including leasing, appraisal and property management.
Chorus is designed to provide local and national lender choices with real-time components for compatibility with any MLS. The application will provide alternative revenue streams for brokers, enabling them and realtors to make the most of the Information Highway as a vehicle for doing business. The technology streamlines home-buying processes while still allowing brokers to retain control of the entire cycle.
In recent weeks, iProperty also has signed Southwestern Idaho Regional Multiple Listing Service Inc., based in Boise, ID; 9keys, a San Diego-based Coldwell Banker brokerage; and Bloomington (Ind.) MLS Inc., which serves the Bloomington Board of Realtors. iProperty has an integrated Web-based suite of applications tailored for real estate professionals, an industry that has jumped full force into e-commerce possibilities for transactions. In March, the company merged with Kansas City-based Risco, the nation's third-largest MLS provider, taking its consumer base to more than 60,000 real estate agents in 44 states.
