Taubman Details Future Development

DETROIT - Developer will build more than 6.5 million sf of retail space.

Taubman Centers Inc., a national shopping center builder, has announced itsplans to build more than 6.5 million sf of retail space.Dolphin Mall (Miami, FL) will open in March 2001. This 1.4 million sf regional center features tenants such as Saks Fifth AvenueOutlet, Dave & Busters, Burlington Coat Factory,Group USA, Marshall’s Mega Store and Oshman’s SuperSports USA.The Shops at Willow Bend (Plano, TX), a 1.4 million sf shopping center,will open in August 2001. Anchored by Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Foley’s,Dillard’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. It is set to open in 2004.

Immediately adjacent to Tampa International Airport, International Plaza(Tampa, FL) will celebrate its grand opening in September 2001. This 1.26million sf center anchored by Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Lord &Taylor and Dillard’s will be complemented by Bay Street, an outdoorlifestyle and restaurant area.Opening in October 2001 is The Mall at Wellington Green (West Palm BeachCounty, FL). This 1.3 million sf center will feature Nordstrom,Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s, JCPenney, and Burdines.
