Building Under Construction is 75% Pre-Leased

WILTON, CT- Scheufelen North American Inc. has signed a 15,000-sf lease at Twenty Westport Road, which brings the 335,000-sf building now under construction to three quarters full.

Scheufelen North America is relocating its North American operations from 187 Danbury Rd. here to Twenty Westport Rd. The paper company will occupy space on the first floor and is expected to take occupancy in the spring of 2001. David J. Friedman, northeast regional vice president of Louis Dreyfus Property Group, says that leasing activity has been brisk at the building. Friedman, who represented the owner, says that the building has been under construction for less than a year, but could be almost spoken for in the near future.” I’m in negotiations with several tenants for most of the third floor, which would bring the building to 95% pre-leased,” Friedman says.

Major tenants include: Louis Dreyfus Corp., the parent company of Louis Dreyfus Property Group, which will use its 113,000 sf of space for its North American headquarters; News America Marketing, which is relocating from Norwalk, CT into 94,000 sf; and John W. Henry & Co., which will occupy 19,000 sf.
