Firm Getting Closer to Clients, Opening Austin Office

With its Texas high-tech business booming, the Porter Novelli Convergence Group will be opening a new, full-service office in Austin.

PN Convergence Group is a unit of Porter Novelli International focused on the integrated public relations requirements of technology-driven companies. “Texas is the technology capital of the South-Central US and has a rich background and infrastructure in computing, communications and other fast-growth, innovative businesses,” says Gary Stockman,senior partner, operations, of the PN Convergence Group.

The office will serve many of the agency’s new accounts in Texas as well as its first and most senior Austin-based client — the National PriceWaterhouse Coopers MoneyTree Survey. It also will function as a hub for future new business efforts in the state, according to Stockman. The PN Convergence Group has among its Texas-based clients Agillion, BMC Software, the Dazel Corp., Exterprise, Kurion and Tellaire.
