Featuring large, 39,000-sf floor plates, the glass-and-brick facility is set to attract a build-to-suit tenant in the cityÕs office market, valuable because of its closeness to automotive manufacturing (specifically Daimler-Chrysler) and supply companies and lack of space for new development. "We hope to lease to one research or technology tenant for the entire facility," Doran says.
Southfield-based Signature Associates is broker for the project. The construction financing was provided by Bank One Corp. The general contractor is J.M. Olson Co. Design architect for the project is the Los Angeles-based Langon Wilson Architects.
