Koll Corporate Development has started construction on a 120,000 sf, three-story office complex in Oakland Technology Park in Auburn Hills, MI. The Koll Corporate Center will cost $175 per sf to develop, says Randy Doran, a vice president and partner of the Dearborn office of the California-based company. He told GlobeSt.com that the 7.3-acre property was the right Detroit-market entry for Koll.
Featuring large, 39,000-sf floor plates, the glass-and-brick facility is set to attract a build-to-suit tenant in the cityÕs office market, valuable because of its closeness to automotive manufacturing (specifically Daimler-Chrysler) and supply companies and lack of space for new development. “We hope to lease to one research or technology tenant for the entire facility,” Doran says.
