Pope Resources and subsidiary Olympic Resource Management have a new top two.
The company announced this week the appointment of Allen Symington as chairman and chief executive and David Nunes as president and chief operating officer. The two are filling vacancies left by Chief Executive and President Gary Tucker, who retired in May.
Symington, 60, has more than 30 years experience in the wood-products industry, including vice-president positions at Simpson Timber and Simpson Investment. David Nunes, 38, is being promoted from his position at Pope Resources as senior vice president, acquisitions and portfolio management.
Pope Resources owns or manages more than 600,000 acres of timberland and development property in Washington, Oregon, California and British Columbia.
